The National
Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) once again has put together a unique
opportunity for one of our Full Members to take part in a wide selection
of educational and training opportunities. This package will draw upon
the resources of well-known and respected industry representatives,
give access to a comprehensive DJ conference, gain VIP access to an
industry event and we hope it will open up a world of opportunities.
Through the NADJ Scholarship one of our DJs will
have access to a wealth of knowledge, experience, information and
training that has never been put in one place before.
There is now a wide selection of opportunities for DJs to develop
their business or hone their skills as a DJ, so the Association has put
some of those training elements into one place. We are again funding
this unique scheme that is sure to have a positive impact for one lucky
individual.
Alan Marshall, Chairman of the NADJ is delighted to continue with
this successful programme, “The NADJ Scholarship will once again open
up new opportunities for one of our Full Members and it shows our
continued commitment to invest in our members, who are more than just
numbers to us. The Scholarship encompasses many areas where a DJ can
improve their performance and their business skills.
“In order for any project like the NADJ Scholarship to be a
success, there needs to be a desire to for the Scholar to want to
investigate the way they currently operate and seek the guidance of
others to improve the way they carry out their duties.
“I’m proud to once again bring on-board a wide selection of
supporters to join with the Association in this new venture. There’s a
good chance that DJs across the country will already respect and follow
our Scholarship partners because of what they have personally achieved,”
said Alan.
We’ve covered as many training areas as possible and these include (select the orange link at the start of each bullet point for more information):

Once again a fantastic package of training and educational
opportunities is on offer and we are proud that this collection forms
the NADJ Scholarship. It will allow a DJ to assess their current
performances and skill levels, understand where they are in the market,
get to grips with where they may need to improve and how they go about
refining their DJ business.
Launch date will be Monday the 7th September.
All applications will be independently assessed by Mark Walsh
(BPM organiser) and Eddie Short (Editor of Pro Mobile Magazine) and the NADJ Scholarship Application Form
can be found in the ‘Members’ drop-down menu at the top of the page –
you will need to be a Full Member and logged into our website. The NADJ
(or any of our representatives) will have no part to play in the
selection of the candidate who is chosen to take up the NADJ
Scholarship. The closing date for all applications is Mid-day Monday the 16th of November.
Before filling in the application form, we would advise all
applicants to copy the questions and work on their answers. When you
have compiled the responses in a word processor or other text editor
(remember to check your spelling, grammar and punctuation), please
return to the form and copy and paste your replies in the appropriate
sections. You may want to make a few notes and then compile your
answers in a clear and concise manner.
When you’ve compiled your first draft, please take a break and
then return to what you have formulated. There may be something
important that you’ve missed out and this will give you an opportunity
to revise your text.
Finally, if you have someone who could proof read your entry, ask
them to check it over for you and make sure you are within the 300
words limit (2,200 characters) for the three questions. Third party
feedback can often be a vital research tool and they may suggest some
improvements or changes that will help you put your case across.
We realise that applying to the NADJ Scholarship may not take
just a few minutes to complete, but that’s a vital part of the process
to find the most appropriate candidate, who the judges feel, will take
full advantage of this great opportunity. The applicant must show that
they have an understanding of their current performance levels and their
business skills, in order for them to take things to another level.
When a business person thinks closely about their operation, they often
realise that there are opportunities out there to improve their
abilities and that’s what the assessors will be looking for.
Now for the boring bit – as with all competitions, prize draws or
opportunities like the NADJ Scholarship, there are some important Terms
& Conditions that all applicants must understand and agree to: NADJ Scholarship Terms & Conditions
